The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 and yet overtake [one another] with swift overtaking: 4 And direct affairs by command, 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 They say: Then that would be a vain proceeding. 12 But only, it will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e., the second blowing of the Trumpet)]. (See Verse 37:19). 13 When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, 14 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 but he cried lies, and rebelled, 21 Then he turned his back, striving. 22 And he gathered [his people] and called out 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
