And most surely this is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 192 the Faithful Spirit has brought it down 193 into your heart, so that you may be a warner, 194 (a revelation) in clear Arabic language, 195 Without doubt it is (announced) in the mystic Books of former peoples. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 And if we had revealed it to any of the foreigners 198 And had he recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 We have thus caused denial of truth to enter into the hearts of the sinners: 200 They will not believe in it until they see the grievous Penalty; 201 But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares, 202 Then they will say: Are we to be reprieved? 203 Do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 What thinkest thou? If We give them enjoyment of days for many years, 205 And then what they were promised comes upon them, 206 of what avail would their past enjoyment be to them? 207 And We destroyed no township but it had its warners 208 By way of admonition, and We have never been oppressors. 209 And the satans have not brought it down. 210 it is not for them, nor are they able. 211 Indeed they have been removed far from even (a chance of) hearing it. 212 So call not on any other god with Allah, or thou wilt be among those under the Penalty. 213 And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred. 214 And lower thy wing to the Believers who follow thee. 215 If they disobey you, say, "I bear no responsibility for what you do." 216 And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful, 217 Who watches you when you get up, 218 And watches your movements among those who prostrate in prayer. 219 He is All-hearing and All-knowing." 220 O people, shall I tell you on whom it is that satans descend? 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 They listen, but most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets -- it is the misled who follow them. 224 Did you not see that they keep wandering in every valley? 225 and how they say that which they do not? 226 except those who believed and acted righteously and remembered Allah much, and when they themselves were subjected to wrong, they exacted retribution no more than to the extent of the wrong? Soon will the wrong-doers know the end that they shall reach. 227
