3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah- that ye desire? 86 “So what do you assume regarding the Lord Of The Creation?” (That He will not punish you?) 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 "What is the matter with you that ye speak not (intelligently)?" 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 And they designed a snare for him, but We made them the undermost. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 Wherefore We gave him the glad tidings of a boy gentle. 101 and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast.' 102 So when they both submitted and he threw him down upon his forehead, 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 thou hast confirmed the vision; even so We recompense the good-doers. 105 For this was obviously a trial- 106 And We rescued him in exchange of a great sacrifice. (The sacrifice of Ibrahim and Ismail peace be upon them is commemorated every year on 10, 11 and 12 Zil Haj). 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 "Peace upon Abraham." 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 We blessed him and Isaac: but of their progeny are (some) that do right, and (some) that obviously do wrong, to their own souls. 113
