Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 and cast lots, and he was among the losers (of the lots that were cast). 141 [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a bare desert whilst he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 And We had sent him to a hundred thousand: rather they exceeded. 147 And they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad SAW): "Are there (only) daughters for your Lord and sons for them?" 149 Did We create the angels females, to which they were witnesses? 150 Behold, it is one of their fabrications that they say: 151 'God has begotten?' They are truly liars. 152 (And again of their falsehood): He hath preferred daughters to sons. 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 Will you not then reflect? 155 Or have you, perchance, a clear evidence [for your assertions]? 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 They claim that He has kinship with the jinn, yet the jinn themselves know that they will be produced before Him [for judgement]. 158 Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 Not against Him can you cause (any) to fall into trial, 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 (Gabriel said to the Prophet): 'Each of us has a known place. 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 We glorify God." 166 What though they would say, 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know. 170 And indeed Our Word has already gone forth for Our bondmen who were sent. 171 will certainly be victorious 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 So turn (away) from them for a while. 174 And (then) see them, so they too shall see. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 When it descends on their courtyards, how terrible that morning will be for those who were warned! 177 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 And peace be on the Messengers! 181 And all the praise and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
