۞ And when a description of the son of Marium is given, lo! your people raise a clamor thereat. 57 And they said, "Are your gods better, or is he?" They did not present the comparison except for [mere] argument. But, [in fact], they are a people prone to dispute. 58 He (Prophet Jesus) was only a worshiper whom We favored and We made him an example to the Children of Israel. 59 And had We willed We could have set among you angels to be viceroys in the earth. 60 He is certainly the sign of the Hour (of change). So have no doubt about it, and listen to me. This is the straight path. 61 And let not Shaitan (Satan) hinder you (from the right religion, i.e. Islamic Monotheism), Verily, he (Satan) to you is a plain enemy. 62 And when 'Iesa (Jesus) came with (Our) clear Proofs, he said: "I have come to you with Al-Hikmah (Prophethood), and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) in which you differ, therefore fear Allah and obey me, 63 Verily Allah! He is my lord and your Lord, so worship Him: this is the straight path. 64 But the factions differed among themselves. Woe alas to the sinners for the torment of the grievous Day! 65 What are they waiting for – except the Last Day, that it may suddenly come upon them while they are unaware? 66 Friends on that day shall be foes to one another, but the god-fearing. 67
