The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 Who determines and directs, 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
