The Companions of the Wood rejected the messengers. 176 When Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 177 I am a trustworthy Messengers. 178 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not cheat; 181 and weigh with the straight balance, 182 and do not diminish the goods of the people, and do not make mischief in the earth, working corruption. 183 And keep your duty unto Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old. 184 They said: Thou art but one of the bewitched; 185 You are nothing but a man like us, and we think you are a liar. 186 But in case you are speaking the truth, then make a segment of the sky to fall upon us." 187 He. said: My Lord is the Best Knower of that which ye work. 188 But they gave him the lie. And thereupon suffering overtook them on a day dark with shadows: and verily, it was the suffering of an awesome day! 189 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 190 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 191
