And a sign to them is the dead earth: We give life to it and bring forth from it grain so they eat of it. 33 And We place therein gardens of the date-palms and vines; and We therein cause to gush forth springs. 34 That they may eat of the fruit thereof, and their hands made it not. Will they not, then, give thanks? 35 Exalted is He who created all pairs - from what the earth grows and from themselves and from that which they do not know. 36 And a Sign for them is the Night: We withdraw therefrom the Day, and behold they are plunged in darkness; 37 The sun runs to its fixed resting place; that is the decree of the Almighty, the Knower. 38 how We ordained the moon to pass through certain phases until it seems eventually to be like a bent twig; 39 It is not permitted to the Sun to catch up the Moon, nor can the Night outstrip the Day: Each (just) swims along in (its own) orbit (according to Law). 40 And a Sign for them is that We bore their race (through the Flood) in the loaded Ark; 41 We have created for them the like of it in which they ride. 42 We drown them if We will, then they have none to cry to, nor can they be saved, 43 save as a mercy from Us, and enjoyment for a while. 44 And when it is said unto them: fear that which is before you and that which is behind you, that haply ye may find mercy, they withdraw. 45 yet never any sign of the signs of their Lord comes to them, but they are turning away from it. 46 And when it is said to them, "Spend from that which Allah has provided for you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Should we feed one whom, if Allah had willed, He would have fed? You are not but in clear error." 47 They say: “When will this threat (of Resurrection) come to pass? Tell us if indeed you are truthful.” 48 They must be waiting for but one single blast, which will overtake them while they are still disputing. 49 They will have no time to make a will, nor shall they return to their own people. 50
