Say thou: I am but warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer. 65 the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Almighty, the All-Forgiving!" 66 Say, “That is a great tidings.” 67 but you have turned away from it. 68 I had no knowledge of the Exalted Assembly when they argued [against the creation of man]: 69 I have only received revelation to give you plain warning. 70 When your Lord said to the angels: "I am going to create a man from clay; 71 Then when I have formed him and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down before him prostrate. 72 So all the angels prostrated, every one, without exception. 73 Not so Iblis: he was haughty, and became one of those who reject Faith. 74 Said He: "O Iblis! What has kept thee from prostrating thyself before that [being] which I have created with My hands? Art thou too proud [to bow down before another created being,] or art thou of those who think [only] of themselves as high?" 75 He said: "I am better than he. You created me from fire, and him from clay." 76 'Begone' said He, 'you are stoned'. 77 and My curse shall remain upon you till the Day of Resurrection.” 78 He (satan) replied: 'Respite me my Lord till the Day of Resurrection' 79 The Lord said, "You will only be given a respite 80 "Till the Day of the time appointed." 81 He said, "By Your Glory, I shall seduce all of them (children of Adam). 82 "Except Your chosen slaves amongst them (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism)." 83 Said He, 'This is the truth, and the truth I say; 84 That I will most certainly fill hell with you and with those among them who follow you, all. 85 Say: "No reward do I ask of you for this (Qur'an), nor am I a pretender. 86 It is nothing but a reminder to the nations; 87 and you shall surely know its tiding after a while.' 88
