▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ No! I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 And indeed, it is an oath - if you could know - [most] great. 76 That it is a Recitation honourable. 77 in a hidden Book 78 None shall touch it save the purified ones. 79 It is a revelation sent down from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Is it such a talk (this Quran) that you (disbelievers) deny? 81 Do you make its denial your means of livelihood? 82 Why, but when the soul leaps to the throat of the dying 83 And you at that time look on-- 84 And We are nearer to him than you are, but you cannot see. 85 Wherefore then, if ye are not to be requited 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 But if he [the dying person] is one of those brought near to God, 88 (There is for him) rest and provision, and a Garden of delights (Paradise). 89 If he is a Companion of the Right 90 he will be greeted with, "Peace be to you," by those on the Right. 91 And if he is one of those who give the lie (to this Message) and go astray, 92 Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water 93 and a roasting in Hell. 94 Most surely this is a certain truth. 95 Extol, then, the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 96

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
