T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ O MAN! 1 We have not sent down to you the Qur'an that you be distressed 2 But only as an admonition to those who fear (Allah),- 3 it is a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens, 4 The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established. 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil. 6 And if thou say anything aloud, [He hears it] since, behold, He knows [even] the secret [thoughts of man] as well as all that is yet more hidden [within him]. 7 God: There is no god but He. To Him belong the attributes most beautiful. 8 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire, and said to his family, 'Tarry you here; I observe a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a brand from it, or I shall find at the fire guidance.' 10 When he approached it, a voice called out: 11 “Indeed I am your Lord, therefore take off your shoes; indeed you are in the holy valley of Tuwa!” 12 "And I have chosen you. So listen to that which is inspired to you. 13 I am God, and there is no god but I, so serve Me, and observe acts of prayer to remember Me. 14 Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives. 15 "Therefore, let not the one who believes not therein (i.e. in the Day of Resurrection, Reckoning, Paradise and Hell, etc.), but follows his own lusts, divert you therefrom, lest you perish. 16 And what is this in your right hand, O Musa! 17 'Why, it is my staff,' said Moses. 'I lean upon it, and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep; other uses also I find in it. 18 Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!" 19 So Moosa put it down – thereupon it became a fast moving serpent. 20 Allah said:"Grasp it, and fear not, We shall return it to its former state, 21 Now clasp thy hand to thy arm-pit; it shall come forth white, without evil. That is a second sign. 22 That We may go on showing you Our greater signs. 23 "Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh)! Verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience, and has behaved as an arrogant, and as a tyrant)." 24
