In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a known term? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
