Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 noble scribes, 11 who know what you do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
