The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 Would that you understood what that crushing torment is like. 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In extended columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
