Man is prone to say: "Shall I be raised to life after I die?" 66 Remembereth not man that We created him afore when he was not aught? 67 By your Lord, We will surely muster them and the devils together. Then We will surely bring them all, on their knees, around Hell, 68 from every party We will pluck out whichever of them was the most hardened in disdain of the Most Merciful. 69 We know best who deserve to be burnt in (the Fire). 70 There is not one among you who will not reach it. Your Lord has made this incumbent on Himself. 71 Then We shall rescue those who kept from evil, and leave the evil-doers crouching there. 72 When Our clear verses are recited to them the unbelievers say to the believers: 'Which of the two parties has a better position or company?' 73 And yet, how many a generation have We destroyed before their time - [people] who surpassed them in material power and in outward show! 74 Say thou: whosoever is in error - surely unto him the Compassionate lengtheneth a length, until when they behold that wherewith they were threatened, either the torment or the Hour, then they shall come to know whosoever is worse in position and weaker as an army. 75 And God endows those who avail themselves of [His] guidance with an ever-deeper consciousness of the right way; and good deeds, the fruit whereof endures forever, are, in thy Sustainer's sight, of far greater merit [than any worldly goods,] and yield far better returns. 76 Have you seen he who disbelieves Our verses and yet says: 'I shall surely be given wealth and children' 77 Has he penetrated to the Unseen, or has he taken a contract with (Allah) Most Gracious? 78 No! We will record what he says and extend for him from the punishment extensively. 79 We shall inherit all that he boasts of, and he will come to Us all alone. 80 And they have taken (for worship) gods other than Allah, to give them power and glory! 81 By no means! They shall soon deny their worship and shall become their adversaries instead. 82
