The people of Lut belied the sent ones. 160 Recall, when their brother Lot said to them: "Have you no fear? 161 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 162 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the lord of the Worlds. 164 “What! Among all the creatures, you commit the immoral acts with men?” 165 keeping yourselves aloof from all the [lawful] spouses whom your Sustainer has created for you? Nay, but you are people who transgress all bounds of what is right!" 166 They said: "O Lot! If you do not desist, you will be one of those expelled (from our towns)." 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 "My Lord! Save me and my family from what they do." 169 So We delivered him and his followers all, 170 all but an old woman, who was among those that stayed behind; 171 Then afterward We destroyed the others. 172 and We rained on them a rain; and evil is the rain of them that are warned. 173 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 174 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 175
