So We saved the children of Israel from degrading suffering 30 and from the Pharaoh. He was the chief of the transgressors. 31 and indeed, We chose them knowingly above all other people, 32 And sent them tokens to bring out the best in them. 33 Indeed these disbelievers proclaim; – 34 "After we die, we shall never be raised to life again. 35 So bring our fathers [back], if what you say is true. 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba' and those who came before them? We destroyed them, because they were guilty of sin. 37 For [thus it is:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in mere idle play: 38 We created them not save with truth; but most of them know not. 39 Truly, the Day of Decision is the appointed time for all of them, 40 The Day when Maulan (a near relative) cannot avail Maulan (a near relative) in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 Except him on whom Allah has Mercy. Verily, He is the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 42
