▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I do not need to swear by the setting of the stars 75 And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - 76 That this is indeed the glorious Qur'an 77 Kept in a secure Book. 78 None may touch it, except with ablution. 79 a sending down from the Lord of all Being. 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 And make it your provision that ye should belie it? 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 the while you are helplessly watching that he is on the verge of death, 84 - And We are nearer unto him than ye are, but ye see not - 85 why, then, if you are not subject to Our command, 86 do you not cause the soul to return to him if you are truthful in your claim? 87 Then, if he (the dying person) be of the Muqarrabun (those brought near to Allah), 88 (There is for him) Rest and Satisfaction, and a Garden of Delights. 89 If he is of those of the right hand, 90 Then: peace unto thee, for thou art of those on the right hand. 91 But if he be of them that cried lies, and went astray, 92 then he will be served boiling water, 93 And roasting in a Blaze. 94 That indeed is the absolute truth. 95 Then praise your Lord, the most supreme. 96
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
