Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 A warning unto humankind 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 except those of the right hand 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 About the criminals, 41 "What has brought you into the Fire of Hell ?" 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 we fed not the needy, 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 Till death overtook us. 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 like frightened donkeys 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness. 56
