The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 By the meteors rushing, 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 Unable to lift their gaze. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 Saying: go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 So he showed him the greater sign; 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 Thereupon Allah seized him for the chastisement of the World to Come as well as of the present. 25 Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! 26
