Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 noble, recording, 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
