The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 (It is) the kindled Fire of Allah, 6 Which mounts directed at the hearts. 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 in endless columns! 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
