Al-Hijjr 4 of 6
Indeed, the righteous will be within gardens and springs. 45 “Enter them with peace, in safety.” 46 And We shall purge their breasts of all traces of rancour; and they shall be seated on couches facing one another as brothers. 47 Toil shall not afflict them in it, nor shall they be ever ejected from it. 48 ۞ Announce, (O Muhammad) unto My slaves that verily I am the Forgiving, the Merciful, 49 At the same time, My chastisement is highly painful. 50 And inform them about the guests of Abraham, 51 When they entered upon him, they said, Peace. He said: Surely we are afraid of you. 52 They said: Be not afraid! Lo! we bring thee good tidings of a boy possessing wisdom. 53 He said, "Have you given me good tidings although old age has come upon me? Then of what [wonder] do you inform?" 54 They answered: "We have given thee the glad tiding of something that is bound to come true. So be not of those who abandon hope!" 55 He replied: 'And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord, except those that are astray? 56 Messengers, what is your task?" 57 They said: "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin, 58 Only the family of Lot will all be saved, 59 “Except his wife – we have decided that she is of those who will stay behind.” 60

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
