The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ THE TRUE BELIEVERS will be successful, 1 Those who in their prayer are lowly. 2 those who turn away from all that is frivolous; 3 those who pay the zakat; 4 And they who guard their private parts 5 Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (in their case) they are free from blame, 6 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 And those who keep a guard on their prayers; 9 Those are the inheritors 10 who will inherit Paradise; they shall live there for ever. 11 Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay); 12 Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging; 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 After that, at length ye will die 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 And indeed We have created seven paths above you; and We are not unmindful of the creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure and lodged it in the earth, but if We please, We have the power to take it away, 18 Then We produce for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you and whereof ye eat; 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 And lo! in the cattle there is verily a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and many uses have ye in them, and of them do ye eat; 21 And on them and on the ship ye are borne. 22
