Now surely, unto Pharaoh's folk [too] came such warnings; 41 They rejected all Our communications, so We overtook them after the manner of a Mighty, Powerful One. 42 Are your people who deny the truth better than those? Or have you been given immunity in the Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: "We are a great multitude, and we shall be victorious?" 44 (Let them know that) this united group will soon run away in defeat. 45 Nay, but the Hour (of doom) is their appointed tryst, and the Hour will be more wretched and more bitter (than their earthly failure). 46 Indeed, the criminals are in error and madness. 47 On that Day they will be dragged into the fire faces foremost, (and told:) "Taste the feel of Hell." 48 Surely We have created everything according to a measure. 49 And Our commandment is but one (commandment), as the twinkling of an eye. 50 We destroyed many people like you (disbelievers) but is there anyone who would take heed (of Our warning)? 51 All that they do is noted in (their) Books (of Deeds): 52 And everything small and great is written down. 53 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and rivers, 54 in a sure abode, in the presence of a King Omnipotent. 55
