Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Does man think that We shall not gather his bones? 3 Yea! WE are Able to put together evenly his finger-tips. 4 In fact, people want to have eternal life in this world. 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 But [on that Day], when mortal sight is confounded, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together 9 upon that day man shall say, 'Whither to flee?' 10 But nay: no refuge [for thee, O man]! 11 Unto thy Lord is the recourse that day. 12 On that Day the human shall be informed of his former and latter deeds. 13 Indeed, man shall be a witness against himself, 14 Whatever the excuses he may offer. 15 Move not thy tongue concerning the (Qur'an) to make haste therewith. 16 Indeed assembling the Qur’an and reading it are upon Us. 17 Wherefore when We recite it, follow thou the reciting thereof. 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 Human beings certainly do not want to pay much attention to the Quran. In fact, they love the worldly life 20 And leave alone the Hereafter. 21 How many faces will be refulgent on that Day, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted, 24 Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity. 25 Nay! When it comes up to the throat, 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 and he realises that the hour of parting is come, 28 And the leg is wound about the leg, 29 Unto thy Lord that day will be the driving. 30
