The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 and those that blow gently, 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 and thus they fulfil the [Creator's] behest! 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 Hearts, that Day, will tremble, 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 “When we have become decayed bones?” 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 15 Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- 16 saying, "Go to the Pharaoh. He has transgressed beyond all bounds. 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 that I might guide you to your Lord, so that you fear (Him)." 19 And thereupon he [went to Pharaoh and] made him aware of the great wonder [of God's grace]. 20 Yet he belied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned away in a hurry, 22 And assembled (his council) and proclaimed, 23 and proclaimed, and he said, 'I am your Lord, the Most High!' 24 but God seized him and meted out to him the chastisement of both the next world and the present: 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
