The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca. First revelation of the Quran before The Pen (Al-Qalam)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Recite in the name of your Lord Who created, 1 Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). 2 Recite: And thy Lord is the Most Generous, 3 who, by the pen, taught the human being: 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 Nay, verily, man becomes grossly overweening 6 Because he sees himself free from want. 7 Surely your returning is to your Lord. 8 What thinkest thou? He who forbids 9 A bondman of Ours when he prayeth 10 Tell me, if he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is on the guidance (of Allah)? 11 Or enjoined guarding (against evil)? 12 What is your opinion if he denies and turns away, how wretched will be his state! 13 Does he not know that Allah does see? 14 Indeed, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock, 15 By the lying, the sinful forelock. 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 [the while] We shall summon the forces of heavenly chastisement! 18 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
