And the dwellers of the Rock certainly rejected the apostles; 80 And We gave them Our Signs, but they were averse to them. 81 And they used to hew out dwellings from the mountains (feeling themselves) secure. 82 An explosion struck them in the morning. 83 And all that they had done (for security) availed them nothing. 84 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, but for just ends. And the Hour is surely coming (when this will be manifest). So overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness. 85 Your Lord is the Creator, the Knower. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated, and the mighty Koran. 87 Do not direct your eyes towards the things We have given to some of their couples to enjoy, and do not at all grieve because of them, and take the Muslims within the folds of your mercy. 88 And say: "I am indeed a plain warner." 89 [For, thou art the bearer of a divine writ] such as We have bestowed from on high upon those who [afterwards] broke it up into parts, 90 And severed their Scripture into fragments. 91 So, by your Lord, We would most certainly question them all, 92 About all what they used to do. 93 Promulgate thou that which thou art commanded, and turn away from the associaters. 94 Indeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers 95 those who set up another deity alongside Allah. They shall soon come to know. 96 We do indeed know how your heart is distressed at what they say. 97 Proclaim thy Lord's praise, and be of those that bow, 98 And worship thy Lord until there cometh unto thee the certainty. 99
