T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 but only as a reminder to him who tears, 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens, 4 the All Merciful settled on the throne. 5 To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and whatever lies in between them, and all that lies under the ground. 6 Be thou loud in thy speech, yet surely He knows the secret and that yet more hidden. 7 Allah, there is no god except He. To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 Has the story of Moses come to you? 9 When he saw a fire, and said to his family, 'Tarry you here; I observe a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a brand from it, or I shall find at the fire guidance.' 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 "Verily I am thy Lord! therefore (in My presence) put off thy shoes: thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa. 12 "And I have chosen you. So listen to that which is inspired to you. 13 "Verily! I am Allah! La ilaha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I), so worship Me, and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) for My Remembrance. 14 Verily the Hour (of the great change) is about to come. I keep it secret that every soul may be rewarded for its endeavour. 15 Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 He answered: "It is my staff; I lean on it; and with it I beat down leaves for my sheep; and [many] other uses have I for it." 18 He said: Cast it down, O Musa! 19 He cast it down, and behold! It was a snake, moving quickly. 20 God said, "Take hold of it, and have no fear: We shall return it to its former state. 21 Now, put your hand under your armpit. It shall come out white, without evil, a second sign. 22 “In order that We may show you Our great signs.” 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent.' 24
