In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 as black camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
