The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 Would that you understood what that crushing torment is like. 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 to penetrate into the hearts. 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 In extended columns. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
