Indeed, We sent Noah to his nation, and he lived amongst them for a thousand years, less fifty (but they belied him), then the Flood seized them while they were harmdoers. 14 But We saved him and those who were with him in the Ark and made the event a sign for mankind. 15 And (remember) Ibrahim – when he said to his people, “Worship Allah and fear Him; that is better for you, if you knew!” 16 You only worship, besides Allah, idols, and you produce a falsehood. Indeed, those you worship besides Allah do not possess for you [the power of] provision. So seek from Allah provision and worship Him and be grateful to Him. To Him you will be returned." 17 And if ye belie me, then communities before you have belied: and upon the apostle is naught but a preaching manifest. 18 Have they not seen how Allah initiates the creation, then will create it again? Indeed that is easy for Allah. 19 Say: Journey in the land, then behold how He originated creation; then God causes the second growth to grow; God is powerful over everything, 20 He punishes whomever He wills and has mercy upon whomever He wills; and towards Him only you are to return. 21 Escape Him you cannot either in the earth or in the sky; and you have no friend or helper apart from God. 22
