The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 then caused it to wither away. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 However, (the disbelievers) prefer the worldly life 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 the revelations of Abraham and Moses. 19
