Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish, may he be ruined. 1 Neither his wealth nor his gains will avail him. 2 He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame 3 And his wife, the bearer of fuel, 4 On her neck shall be a cord of twisted fibre. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
