Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the loosed ones successively 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a known extent. 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 The living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
