The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the sky is rent asunder, 1 in obedience to the commands of their Lord which are incumbent on them, 2 And when the earth is stretched forth, 3 and casts forth whatever is in it, and becomes utterly void, 4 obeying its Lord, as it must do! 5 O man, you are striving unto your Lord and you will meet Him. 6 So whoever is given his record of deeds in his right hand 7 Soon an easy account will be taken from him. 8 And he shall go back to his people joyful. 9 But he who is given his Book from behind his back 10 he shall call for destruction 11 And he will enter a Blazing Fire. 12 He used to be happy with his own people; 13 Never thinking he will return. 14 Surely yes, why not? Indeed his Lord is seeing him. 15 I swear by the afterglow of sunset, 16 and by the night and what it enfolds, 17 And the moon when at the full, 18 you shall surely ride stage after stage. 19 What is the matter with them? Why do they not believe? 20 And when the Quran is recited to them, they fall not prostrate, ۩ 21 Nay, but they who are bent on denying the truth give the lie [to this divine writ]! 22 Yet God has full knowledge of what they conceal [in their hearts]. 23 So announce to them a painful punishment~ 24 except for those who believe and do good deeds. Theirs shall be an unending reward. 25
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
