The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
