۞ Nay, I swear by the setting of the stars -- 75 And verily, that is indeed a great oath, if you but know. 76 That this is indeed the glorious Qur'an 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 Which none can touch except the purified. 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Is it such a Message that ye would hold in light esteem? 81 And make it your provision that ye should belie it? 82 Why, then, when (the soul) cometh up to the throat (of the dying) 83 And ye are then looking on. 84 And Our angels are nearer to him than you, but you do not see - 85 why, then, if you are not subject to Our command, 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 But if he [the dying person] is one of those brought near to God, 88 (There is for him) rest and provision, and a Garden of delights (Paradise). 89 and if he is of those who are on the Right, 90 Then: peace unto thee, for thou art of those on the right hand. 91 And if he be of the beliers, the erring, 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 This is indeed an utmost certainty. 95 Then praise your Lord, the most supreme. 96
