The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the night enshrouding 1 By the day when it appeareth in glory, 2 And by Him Who created male and female; 3 Lo! your effort is dispersed (toward divers ends). 4 Then as for him who giveths and feareth Him. 5 and affirmed the Truth of goodness: 6 for him shall We make easy the path towards [ultimate] ease. 7 But as for him who hoardeth and deemeth himself independent, 8 And who belieth the Good, 9 For him We shall ease the way of adversity, 10 His wealth will not avail him when he falls into ruin. 11 Surely it is for Us to show the Right Way, 12 And indeed the Hereafter and this world both belong to Us. 13 Therefore do I warn you of a Fire blazing fiercely; 14 None shall reach it but those most unfortunate ones 15 who belied and turned away, 16 But save him who fears 17 [He] who gives [from] his wealth to purify himself 18 And who hath no favour from anyone to recompense. 19 except the pleasure of their Lord, the Most High 20 And indeed, soon he will be very pleased. 21
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
