1/2 Hizb 35
< random >
O apostles! eat of the good things and do good; surely I know what you do. 51 And verily this Brotherhood of yours is a single Brotherhood, and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore fear Me (and no other). 52 Yet they divided themselves into factions, each rejoicing in what they had. 53 But leave them in their confused ignorance for a time. 54 Do they think that in giving them wealth and children 55 We [but want to] make them vie with one another in doing [what they consider] good works? Nay, but they do not perceive [their error]! 56 Surely those who tremble in fear of their Lord 57 and who believe in their Sustainer's messages, 58 And they who do not associate anything with their Lord 59 and those who give what they give, their hearts quaking that they are returning to their Lord -- 60 It is those who hasten to good deeds, and they outstrip [others] therein. 61 On no soul do We place a burden greater than it can bear: before Us is a record which clearly shows the truth: they will never be wronged. 62 Nay, but their hearts are covered (blind) from understanding this (the Quran), and they have other (evil) deeds, besides, which they are doing. 63 Till, when We seize with the chastisement the ones of them that live at ease, behold, they groan. 64 Do not cry out today. Indeed, by Us you will not be helped. 65 My signs were recited to you, but upon your heels you withdrew, 66 Stiff-necked, discoursing thereof by night, reviling. 67 Have they not pondered the matter, or did that come to them, which did not come to their forefathers? 68 Or is it that they were unaware of their Messenger and were therefore repelled by him for he was a stranger to them? 69 Or, say they: in him is madness? O Aye he brought them the truth, and most of them to the truth are averse. 70 Had truth been subject to their whims the heavens and the earth and all those within them would have been depraved. In fact We had sent them their reminder, but they turned away from good advice. 71 Or, do you ask a tribute from them? Your Lord's tribute is better. He is the Best of providers. 72 Indeed you are calling them to a Straight Path, 73 And verily those who believe not in the Hereafter are from the path deviating. 74 ۞ Did We have mercy on them, and remove the affliction that is upon them, they would persist in their insolence wandering blindly. 75 We inflicted Punishment on them, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor do they submissively entreat (Him)!- 76 Until when We have opened before them a door of severe punishment, immediately they will be therein in despair. 77

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
