Noah said: “My Lord, they did not pay heed to what I said, and followed those (nobles) whose possession of wealth and children has led them to an even greater loss. 21 They contrived a plot of great magnitude. 22 and said: 'Do not renounce your gods, do not leave waddan or suwa'an or yaghutha, or ya'uqa, or nasra' 23 And indeed they have led astray many, and do not increase the unjust in aught but error. 24 And so, because of their sins, they were drowned [in the great flood,] and were doomed to suffer the fire [of the hereafter]; and they found none who could succour them against God. 25 And Noah said, "My Lord, do not leave upon the earth from among the disbelievers an inhabitant. 26 Verily if Thou shouldst leave them, they will mislead Thine bondmen and will beget not save sinning infidels, 27 Lord! Forgive me and my parents and every true believer who enters my house, forgive all the believing men and believing women; and bestow no increase upon the wrongdoers except in ruin? 28
