Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 And as for him who asks, do not chide (him), 10 and of thy Sustainer's blessings shalt thou [ever] speak. 11
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
