O YOU APOSTLES! Partake of the good things of life, and do righteous deeds: verily, I have full knowledge of all that you do. 51 And verily! This your religion (of Islamic Monotheism) is one religion, and I am your Lord, so keep your duty to Me. 52 Then they cut their affair among them in regard to the Scriptures; each band in that which is with them rejoicing. 53 So leave them in their error for a time. 54 Do they think that We are helping them by giving them children and property? 55 We are hastening to reward them for good deeds? No. They do not comprehend. 56 Verily, [only] they who stand in reverent awe of their Sustainer, 57 and believe in His messages 58 who associate none with their Lord in His Divinity, 59 and those who give to others what has been bestowed upon them with their hearts trembling at the thought that they must return to their Lord; 60 Are the ones who hasten to goodness and outpace the others. 61 And we task not any soul beyond its scope, and with Us is a Record which speaketh the truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 But their hearts are covered with confusion over this, and they have [evil] deeds besides disbelief which they are doing, 63 Until when We overtake those who lead easy lives among them with punishment, lo! they cry for succor. 64 (It will be said): "Groan not in supplication this day: for ye shall certainly not be helped by Us. 65 “My verses were recited to you, so you used to turn back on your heels.” 66 [and,] impelled by your arrogance, you would talk senselessly far into the night." 67 Did they never ponder over this Word (of God)? Or has he (to wit, the Messenger) brought something the like of which did not come to their forefathers of yore? 68 Or is it that they have not recognized their Apostle, so that they deny him? 69 Or, say they: in him is madness? O Aye he brought them the truth, and most of them to the truth are averse. 70 Had the truth followed their fancies, the heavens, the earth, and all who live in them would have surely been corrupted. No, We brought them their Remembrance; but from their Remembrance they turn away. 71 Or is it that you (O Muhammad SAW) ask them for some wages? But the recompense of your Lord is better, and He is the Best of those who give sustenance. 72 And lo! thou summonest them indeed unto a straight path. 73 And verily, those who believe not in the Hereafter are indeed deviating far astray from the Path (true religion Islamic Monotheism). 74 ۞ Though We had mercy on them and relieved them of the harm afflicting them, they still would wander blindly on in their contumacy. 75 And indeed, We tested them through suffering, but they did not abase themselves before their Sustainer; and they will never humble themselves 76 Until We open on them a gate leading to a severe Punishment: then Lo! they will be plunged in despair therein! 77
