۞ And those who look not for a meeting with Us say: Why are angels not sent down unto us and (Why) do we not see our Lord! Assuredly they think too highly of themselves and are scornful with great pride. 21 Upon the day that they see the angels, no good tidings that day for the sinners; they shall say, 'A ban forbidden!' 22 We shall call their deeds into Our presence and scatter them into the air as dust (turn them devoid of all virtue). 23 On that Day, the companions of Paradise (will have) a better abode and a finer restingplace. 24 On that Day, the heaven is split asunder with clouds and the angels are sent down in majesty, 25 That Day, the dominion as of right and truth, shall be (wholly) for (Allah) Most Merciful: it will be a Day of dire difficulty for the misbelievers. 26 The unjust man will bite at his hand and say, "Would that I had stood by the Messenger! 27 Woe alas, ah would I had not taken so-and-so as friend! 28 he made me forgetful of the warning after it had reached me. Satan is man's great betrayer." 29 And the Noble Messenger submitted, “O my Lord – indeed my people took this Qur’an as worthy of being abandoned.” 30 Thus do We keep opponents among the sinners for every apostle; yet your Lord is sufficient as a guide and helper. 31 The unbelievers ask: 'Why was the Koran not sent down to him all at once' As such We strengthen your heart thereby, and We have recited it very distinctly. 32 And they bring thee no similitude but We bring thee the Truth (as against it), and better (than their similitude) as argument. 33 Those who will be gathered to Hell (prone) on their faces,- they will be in an evil plight, and, as to Path, most astray. 34
