▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
NAY, but consider the moon! 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 about the guilty ones: 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 as if they were startled asses 50 running away from a lion? 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
