Al-Rahman 3 of 3
BUT FOR THOSE who of their Sustainer's Presence stand in fear, two gardens [of paradise are readied] 46 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 47 These Gardens will abound in green, blooming branches. 48 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 49 In them (both) will be two springs flowing (free) 50 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 51 In both of them are of every fruit, two kinds. 52 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 53 They will recline upon carpets lined with rich brocade; and the fruits of both these gardens will be within easy reach. 54 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 55 Therein are maidens who restrain their glances, whom neither human nor jinn have touched before. 56 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 57 As though they are jacinth and coral. 58 which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 59 Is there any reward for good other than good? 60 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 61 And besides these shall be two gardens -- 62 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 63 Dark green with foliage. 64 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 65 In them will be two gushing springs. 66 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 67 In them (both) will be fruits, and date- palms and pomegranates. 68 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 69 In them are women of good behaviour and gorgeous faces. 70 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 71 [There the blessed will live with their] pure companions sheltered in pavilions. 72 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? - 73 Neither human nor jinn will have touched them before. 74 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 75 reclining upon green cushions and lovely druggets -- 76 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 77 Blessed be the Name of your Lord (Allah), the Owner of Majesty and Honour. 78

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
