Verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) are Gardens of delight (Paradise) with their Lord. 34 Shall We then treat the (submitting) Muslims like the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists and disbelievers, etc.)? 35 What is the matter with you? How ill do you judge! 36 Do you have a book from which you study 37 Surely therein you shall have whatever you choose! 38 Or have ye oaths from Us reaching to the Day of Resurrection, that you shall be that which ye judge? 39 Ask them which of them is able to vouch for this! 40 Or have they "partners"? Then let them bring their "partners" if they are truthful! 41 Remember the Day whereon the shank shall be bared and they shall be called upon to Prostrate themselves, but they shall not be able. 42 Their eyes humbled, humiliation will cover them. And they used to be invited to prostration while they were sound. 43 So leave those who deny this Discourse to Me. We shall lead them step by step to (ruin) in a way they will not know. 44 I shall grant them some respite, for My plan is powerful. 45 Askest thou a hire from them so that they are laden with debt? 46 Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down? 47 So be thou patient under the judgment of thy Lord, and be not as the Man of the Fish, when he called, choking inwardly. 48 Were it not for his Lord’s favour that reached him, he would have surely been cast onto the desolate land, reproached. 49 Then his Lord chose him and made him of the righteous. 50 Hence, [be patient,] even though they who are bent on denying the truth would all but kill thee with their eyes whenever they hear this reminder, and [though] they say: "[As for Muhammad,] behold, most surely he is a madman!" 51 Yet it is purely an admonition to mankind. 52
