Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
