Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
